PHYSICAL
The state of California is known for its real natural beauty, its highly productive
farms, and its extensive service and political ideas. California has a varied
complicated topography. The main features of its physical land features are
large central valleys, and the mountain ranges that enclose it. California’s dry
season is May through September and the wet season is October through April.
California borders the Pacific Ocean on the west coast. California has six volcanoes named: Cosco, Long Valley Caldera, Clear Lake, Lassen Peak, Mount Shasta, and Medicine Lake. California's 25,000 square miles of desert can be divided into two basic zones; the Mojave, or high desert, and the Colorado, or low desert. California's deserts are home to two National Parks (Death Valley and Joshua Tree), a National Reserve (East Mojave), and California's largest state park, Anza- Borrego.
